Mr Steve Hood
Senior Vice President of Research and Founding Director of the SHARE Center STR
Steve Hood is senior vice president of research for STR.
He has been with STR for 19 years and was involved in the original development of the STAR program. STR is the leading authority on lodging industry performance trends and performance benchmarking. The STR family of companies includes STR Global, HotelNewsNow. com, STR Analytics and the Hotel Data Conference. In 2011, STR launched the SHARE Center, providing hotel and tourism data, training materials, and additional resources to 400 universities around the world to support their research and classroom activities. The SHARE Center has helped to introduce the “Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics” for students, professors and industry professionals, jointly offered by AHLEI, ICHRIE and STR.
Steve played a major role in the historical launch of programs that incorporated daily, group and transient, and international data. He is currently responsible for research-related activities at STR, while helping to manage STR’s relationships with several major organizations. Steve also serves as the founding director of the SHARE Center, STR’s outreach to universities around the world. He represents STR at national and international lodging and tourism conferences and you can see his articles in publications such as Hotel News Now (www.hotelnewsnow.com). Steve serves on several advisory boards for industry and academia. In 2012, Steve was recognized by ICHRIE with the Industry Recognition Award for demonstrated commitment to advanced hospitality and tourism education. In 2013, he was named an honorary faculty member at the University of Delaware. Prior to STR, Steve served as vice president at two database consulting firms in the Northern Virginia area. In 2014, he was recognised by EuroCHRIE with the Nestlé Pro Gastronomia Award for demonstrating excellence in training, education and development work in the hospitality industry.
Steve grew up in the Baltimore/Washington area, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, and now lives in Nashville with his wife and four children.

Mr Igor Šehanović

Before he became a board member of the LRH, he was a head of the Department of Investment & Planning, director than a member of a Board of Riviera Holding d.d. Poreč, and CEO Riviera Hotels and Resorts, and Member of Supervisory Board Puntižela d.d. Pula. Now days, he is a member of the supervisory boards of Hoteli Cavtat d.d. and Hoteli Metropol d.o.o. He graduated at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism Dr. Mijo Mirković in Pula - Finance and Accounting. MA "Financial Management" at the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka. Doctorate "Synergy Operating, Financial and Sales Management in the Function of Reducing the Risk and Increasing the Efficiency of Investment in the Hotel Industry," defended at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, where he attended the PhD management program. As a scientist had a series of lectures at various scientific conferences, participated in several conferences and professional projects, gave invited lectures at two international conferences (one as a student of the PhD Programme and on the other as a Doctor of Science).He has held invited lectures at the Faculty of Hotel Management in Opatija and at the Faculty of Economics Dr. Mijo Mirković in Pula, and was a reviewer on one international scientific conference and held a series of presentations. Scientific works are published in internationally recognized journals and in international scientific conferences journals with an international editorial board and international reviewers.
So far, in his the scientific and research work, he published doctoral dissertation, a book, 18 scientific papers and lectured in the Business School PAR in Rijeka and international university Libertas in Zagreb.
Mr. Šehanović lives in Poreč with his wife and two children.
